Project Read - Menlo Park is the adult literacy program of the Menlo Park Public Library. We offer free literacy education to adults. Our mission is to enable adults and families to improve their basic literacy skills so they can achieve their goals and function more effectively at home, in the community, at work, and as lifelong students. Fostering volunteerism and community service are also integral parts of our program. Our students are from the Mid-Peninsula area and are of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. We place volunteer tutors with individual adult students. Project Read also teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, provides computer literacy instruction, and hosts a weekly conversation club.

Our Vision
